Una polilla está tras la taza
y se asoma con calma,
vigila una galleta clara,
que sobre el plato descansa.
Decide acercarse a la galleta
y con prudencia la observa,
su olor la deleita
y decide que quiere comerla.
A moth is behind the cup
and peeks out calmly,
eyeing a plain cookie
resting on the plate.
It decides to approach the cookie
and observes it carefully,
its scent delights it,
and it decides it wants to eat it.
When I realize what’s happening,
I approach with a better treat,
trying to lure the moth cautiously,
but she thinks the cookie tastes better.
The innocent cookie
takes the treat I offer abruptly,
eats it eagerly
while the moth watches intently
The moth doesn't hesitate any longer
and eagerly bites into the crunchy treat,
I rush to her rescue without a second thought
and manage to grab the cookie with a string.
I pull her out of there,
and the moth doesn't know what to do,
she gets annoyed and even goes over to the cup,
drinks some coffee, and leaves without looking back.
