People often talk that you should eat more vegetables and move more. Is everyone able to live a healthy life, do they have the financial resources and time to do so? Nowadays everything healthy is expensive and people have no time to exercise, at least they are saying so.
I agree that in Finland vegetables cost as much as meat and the unhealthier fast food is cheaper than healthier alternatives. That is maybe because greenhouses are not cheap to maintain and everything imported is expensive. In Finland, it’s difficult to farm vegetables even in summertime.
Exercise should not cost anything, at least you have the power to choose that. Outdoor sport is often free but a bad weather may be a problem for some people. My gym membership costs 55 euros every month and, in my opinion, that is expensive. I try to do some exercise at least a couple of times per week and thus my one-time ticket is 55€ / 8 visits = 6,87€ / visit. I bet that almost 7€ per a visit is too much for most of the people to put in healthcare. For me, it is difficult to go outside for an exercise, if there is a bad weather, so it's worth it to pay 7€.
I believe that government should support healthier choices, for example, lower taxes for the healthier foods and maybe support somehow gyms so they could lower the prices. I think the government actually wins in a long term since that would be the way to reduce medical care costs in future.
