Greetings once again friends of Holozing! 😉

After more than 2 days without being able to publish anything because of my internet, finally today I could solve the problem and I share with you this little Fanart illustration in which I've been working these days, having as reference my charismatic friend, Grass Racoon. I don't know how many times I've versioned this character, but for a change I decided to do a version of this one with the Radiant type coloring, changing his original green color for a darker and more violet one which gives him a great finish. Without further ado, let's start!

Luego de mas de 2 días sin poder publicar nada por culpa de mi internet, finalmente hoy pude resolver el problema y les comparto esta pequeña ilustración Fanart en la que he estado trabajando estos días, teniendo como referencia a mi carismático amigo, Grass Racoon. Ya no se cuantas veces he versionado a este personaje, pero para variar un poco decidí hacer una versión de este con el coloreado tipo Radiant, cambiando su color verde original por uno mas violeta y oscuro el cual le da un acabado genial. Sin mas, ¡Comencemos!

To begin with I made my composition in thumbnail format to get a clear idea of the pose and how the illustration would look like. I wanted my character to look kawaii and smaller than the original, with this in mind I worked on the sketch and then I made a thin lineart to define the lines.

Para comenzar hice mi composición en formato thumbnail para tener una idea clara de la pose y el como se vería la ilustración. Quería que mi personaje se viera kawaii y fuera mas pequeño que el original, con esto en mente fui trabajando en el boceto y posteriormente realice un lineart delgado para definir las líneas.

I then assembled my color palette, here I used the same tones as my reference but opted to lower their saturation for a softer finish. Then I applied a base layer of gray, filling the character completely and on top of this I placed the base colors in separate layers.

Luego arme mi paleta de color, aquí utilice los mismos tonos de mi referencia pero opte por bajarle su saturación para un acabado mas suave. Después apliqué una capa base de color gris, rellenando por completo al personaje y por encima de esta fui colocando los colores base en capas separadas.

Then with the help of a brush with a Crayon texture, I applied the shadows to the character, following the Cell Shading style which suits the character very well.

Then I started to give the final details, I added some gradients and light colored dots to give a bright feeling and on top of it all I put a layer of Blue solid color to regulate the colors of the character. Then I copied my character and used it as a resource for the background.

Con ayuda de un pincel con textura de Crayon fui colocando las sombras en el personaje con el método Cell Shading que he venido trabajando, luego agregue mas detalle a los ojos del personaje y las luces, que en este caso fueron pequeños degradados de color y algunas líneas muy pequeñas que me permitieron darle un bonito acabado al personaje.

Por último realice una mancha de color mostaza por detrás de mi personaje y cambie el color del fondo por uno blanco, para que destacara mi personaje y la mancha.

To finish, I added a gradient and lines in the background stain, I also added a white outline all over the character to merge with the stain giving a higher contrast in the elements.

Para finalizar, agregue un degradado y líneas en la mancha del fondo, también añadí un contorno blanco en todo el personaje para que se fusionara con la mancha dando un mayor contraste en los elementos.
