The skeletal or bony contra-position is based on making the positions
contrary to each position, so that the joints of the spine are
irrigated and mobilized.
The actions of the spine are: back flexion. forward flexion, lateral flexion, rotation, and torsion.
For example: if a posture is made where the spine flexes backward,
its contraposition is to make another position where the spine flexes
forward.
But to counteract the harmful effects and contraindications of backward bending postures there is a "golden rule": a backward bending posture and two forward bending postures must be performed.
