Marajah, your sister is feeling cold, bath her with hot water.

Those were the words and commands from my lovely parents to me, especially my mother.

I could remember the day my younger sister came back from school under heavy rain. I pitied that girl because, as she came back with the rain, she resembled a vulture that have been bitten by heavy rainfall. Lolz. Please, for those that know her, am pleading with my knees on the ground, don't expose me oo. Hahahaha

vulture beaten by rain

Infact, what are my even pleading you for? if you want, tell her. None of you can beat me naa.

Let me continue with the gist sef.

As that my sister came back, I wanted to bathe her with cold water immediately since she has been beating by rain already. At that, my mom intervened on her behalf. She said that I should boil and use hot water on her. According to her, it's the best for whomever that is feeling cold. Also, she added that if I should bath her with cold water as she is already feeling cold, she gonna have pneumonia.

As an obedient child, I listened to my mom, did as she instructed and look and behold! the baby regain herself. Noted.

Few weeks later, Dad went to hunt bush animals with our dog, while inside the forest, it started raining and the downfall was something more than raining. Honestly, it poured out from heaven and myself was at home that very day.

While alone at home, I started thinking about Dad and our dog. All kinds of imagination came to my memory. I mean, things like:

Who knows where they are now. were they able to see a refuge from the downpour? What if they should fall inside gutter as rain will cover most gutters now? What will they need, I mean, what can I do to help?

As I continued meditating over those questions, something came to my mind and that have to do with the last question I asked myself which is:

What will they need, I mean, what can I do to help?

I said to myself that by now, they must be on their way back home. Therefore, they must need hot water to bath. Quickly, I boiled water for them. As soon as the water boiled, they came back and my Dad was extremely happy because of the hot water I boiled for him or will I say for them. Hahaha

He ordered me to also bathe our dog with some of the hot water because the dog was feeling cold. Hmmm, after bathing the dog, something happened. The dog felt so relieved. Wow. From that very day onward, I said to myself, truly, hot water is cold remedy.

Dog felt relieved after bathing

Remember, it's the instruction my mother gave to me to use hot water on anybody feeling cold. Hmmm, I didn't know that too much obedient would harm me o. Honestly, I did myself nothing but harm. How?

One day, I took our birds to market. I sold some, only 5 remained. On my way home with the birds (fowl), it started raining. And the rain caught us in no-man's-land. There was no hiding place for us. Therefore, it rained on us. At a point, I stopped my bicycle, look at the birds, and they were feeling so cold. I know that inside their heart, they're cursing me.

Nevertheless, I told them that once we reach house, I gonna dry their tears. Anyway, we continued the journey back home. As soon as we reach home, I brought them down from bicycle, boil hot water for myself and for them. Chei, what happened was unexpected.

As I pour the hot water on their body, the only thing I heard is: kwio kwio and they gave up.

They died like this

It was like a dream to me. I started contemplating over mother's advice to bathe anybody feeling cold with hot water. Those birds, are they not classified as body's? See me see wahala. Mother didn't tell me that hot water usage have limitations ooo.
