Today being Saturday was supposed to be a resting day for me but some how I still found myself busy. How is how my day enfolded. Having gone to work through out the week, I was supposed to rest but the washing, cleaning and cooking couldn't even allow me to. I woke up feeling chii, it's been raining non stop here in Porthercourt and the cold was very much. I wore my sweater and stepped out to buy things for soup.
Yeah I had longed for Egusi soup for a while now, and today I decided to satisfied my urge. I stepped into the closest nearby local market here, and went straight to my customer. Another interesting thing about Nigerian market is that once you stick with buying from one particular person, that person has already regarded you as his or her customer and the benefits is that, they will reduce their pricing for you and most times even if you are not with money, they will sell on credit for you trusting that you will definitely come to pay back. That's one way of retaining a customer.
I bought the things I needed and headed back home. Went straight to the kitchen and proceeded with the cooking. I unboxed the few things I bought, set my pot up on fire and proceeded with the cooking.
After some minutes my sweet Egusi soup was ready to be served. I quickly did my Garri and served myself. I couldn't even wash again because the rain was so heavy, I had to take my bath and dived into the bed to rest.
This is just how my day went today, even though rain took most of the day, but it was generally a good day for me.
