Yeeeehaaaa it's #beersaturday once again, meaning it's time to officially put the feet up, throw some good food in the oven, and kick back for the evening.
After a long hard week slugging away at work and training (I love the buzz), it's time to send the body and soul on a voyage. A journey to an out of this planet destination composed of relaxation and peacefulness. A blissful place where the body and soul is allieved from the daily pressures on planet earth. Come join me on a voyage to another Hopmosphere.
On my weekly trip to the local bottle store, as soon as I entered the beer section a gravitational force pulled me directly towards this beer. It was as if I was being sucked into a black hole, and my only escape tucking a pack of Hopmosphere under my wing, and flying for home.
It was the bright orange packaging that instantly caught my attention, it was as if Hopmosphere was the sun, and the other beers less magnificent stars.
The design on the packaging was extremely attractive too. The image of the lady's head dissected in two, with the inside of the skull composed with it's own Hopmosphere. Planets, stars, SPACE. The calm and relaxed look on her face, despite appearing in deep thought about the wonders of her surroundings. That was the evenings journey that I was seeking, an experience for body and mind. Time to send myself into orbit.

Even the product description was alligned with the invisions that encompassed the parameters of my mind. This product was selling more than just a beer, an adventure to another dimension.
Brewed by Colossal Brewing this beer Hopmosphere is a West Coast India Pale Ale, that promises to be flavoursome with a distinct malty character.
Almost as enticing as its design, it possesses an ABV of 7%, meaning it doesn't take long to reach the foreign destination this beer promises. Time for Blast Off...
Upon pouring Hopmosphere possessed a glistening golden appearance. The sunlight created a transparency highlighting the bubbles voyage at speed to the surface of the beer.
The first sip was an explosion of malty flavour, with a strong hops presence being predominant. A bitterness existed that I wasn't entirely fond on, but after last weeks Hawaiian Haze experience, maybe my expectations had sky-rocketed.
To my disappointment the promised aromas and flavours of lime and apricot ceased to exist, and didn't exactly send my tastebuds on the adventure they were actively seeking.
In saying this, the flavour of the hops was delicious and the beer was very refreshing and easy to drink despite its higher ABV %.
The first beer went down rapidly, followed by another in short succession. Refreshment levels had been satisfied, and the promised voyage to a solar system of ultimate relaxation and peacefulness had well and truly began.
We made a quick pitstop after the first couple, devouring some hickory BBQ and honey pork ribs that I had put on earlier in the day. These complemented the Hopmosphere perfectly, and ensured the fuel tank had enough gas to reach the final destination of the evenings voyage.
Number 3 and 4 were then enjoyed accompanied by relaxing music, some intellectual conversation, and of course a few more snacks
The strong ABV% of these beers, meant that the adventure advertised was inevitable. After finishing them I was in a state of complete relaxation and contentment.
The stresses on the body and mind from the previous week had disappeared, and I was orbiting in a blissful parallel atmosphere of peacefulness and relaxation.
Overall Hopmosphere was a refreshing drop, that satisfied the tastebuds without overwhelming them. The beauty of this beer for me was the adventure it took me on. Enticed by the story the beer tells, and the ability it possessed to let my mind and body truly enjoy this experience.
#beersaturday has been another enjoyable evening, refuelling my engine for another week ahead.
