Adventure afoot!
It's wild how quickly the weather can turn. I'm not specifically pondering on today's either - which ironically did just that (being cooler & overcast). I mean rather from a seasonal standpoint. Yesterday for example, was 'sun burn' hot - as my shoulders and right hand may testify to. As a result thereof.. I found myself the recipient of one very noticable snow white left hand - courtesy of the rubber glove I was sporting. In an attempt to balance things out a bit.. I've now opted to switch the anti-germ system around - my right hand now tackling the scourge of litter, which is evidently wrong.

On my way to the local wetlands, I was able to secure and bag this sheet of newspaper - which was blowing down the road.

The next item for the day was.. drumroll.. yup, another lone shoe! Why are none of them in pairs? How random is that!

At first I thought it was an old jacket. Turns out that it was a pair of broken pants. It was full of little snails, which had to be carefully removed before bagging. On a sidenote.. how cool is that plant growing in the wood! Nature is so dope!

Deep in the bush was this debris field. It was tricky to get to all the little pieces, with branches poking my face. At one point, I even wondered whether there was blood drawn. Turns out, it was only a very minor abrasion.

A nasty clump of dirty fabric. I'm guessing at one point, it may have been a garment of sorts?

I was curious as to whether there was anything inside this crumpled up foil. Having only one germ protected appendage, I couldn't check. Besides.. some questions are best left unanswered.

A styrofoam tray appeared out of place.. with the scene returning to its natural beauty shortly thereafter.

Based on the logo, I'm guessing this plastic cup was from a smoothie.

Such small quantities of beverage to such a large plastic item. Can mankind as a whole, not see that? Why?!

Another styrofoam tray, held in place by some vegetation - with no indication of the problem disappearing anytime soon.

Choices. We make them every second of every day. I chose to not ignore this scene. I chose to compare the two tiny pieces. I chose to bag the cigarette butt, whilst leaving the piece of wood behind.

I took the full bag of trash to the bin by the local park. On the way there, I thought that sometime in the near future.. I should focus on the streets as well. A wonderfully successful walk, with the planet happier for it!
