@beentrepreneur/the-entrepreneur-in-me-contest-concurso-el-emprendedor-que-hay-en-mi
Autofinanciamiento y apoyo.
馃尭 Estar dispuesto a aguantar las ca铆das, fracasos y crisis.
Asociaciones fallidas
Otras obligaciones, responsabilidades e imprevisto.

I am very happy with the birth of a community dedicated to entrepreneurship, where we can share our ideas and experiences. How is Be Entrepreneur and this publication is motivated by the contest "The Entrepreneur in Me" that you can see details in the link below.
@beentrepreneur/the-entrepreneur-in-me-contest-concurso-el-entrepreneur-que-hay-en-mi
Well, I have never considered myself an entrepreneur, because perhaps I see entrepreneurs as daring people who take risks and who are always thinking about a business plan, a creative idea to solve a market problem, which they have possibly been developing several businesses in parallel ; what I can comment on is that I have always liked the subject of business, sales, product development, marketing; It is worth saying that I studied advertising and marketing, being that way that I am more interested in these issues.
Although when I start in this artisan jewelry thing, I should call M16UEL JOYAS if I go through an entrepreneurial process that continues to this day and that I will tell you about below.
I in particular because my mother has a small jewelry store that opened in 1999, she put me to learn in a jeweler's workshop, I think in the middle of the year 2000 and from there I began to immerse myself a little in this trade, then I did a workshop long in a goldsmith school..
But for the year 2008 I decided that I was going to dedicate myself to this, I financed my work table with the tips I received from the Caf茅 where I worked, I bought some tools and my mother with the business financed another part of the rest that was missing with second-hand implements hand that a friend sold her, so I already had the initial working capital to work. That was a crazy year, since my daughter was born, but as complicated as it could be, I came out okay.
Returning to the subject, the initial idea was that of the clients of the business that my mother attended, repair some clothes, elaborate names, initials and personalized figures, in silver; I was good at personalized jewelry, because taking advantage of my skills to design on the computer.
A few months after starting I was already producing wholesale, at that time there was a lot of competition so my profit margin was not very high... I was quite a beginner, but I had a good flow of money, to this day I get work with the material that I keep from that time, since most of the money I made was reinvested in material or tools that I needed.
Along with the wholesale sales, I started the sales through MercadoLibre and there I also solved a lot, I was also with Feng Shui and Wiccan-themed jewelry. I really liked those times, now I think I should have had a better guide to make the most of it.
From that 2008 until today several crises have passed and here I am still, I have seen that many people stopped producing dedicating themselves to other things, or left the country (Venezuela); In this course of time, it was necessary to learn beyond the work techniques to make the pieces, such as managing mail shipments, managing orders, computer design, photography, managing social networks, going to fairs, payment methods..
Today I believe, from experience, that if you are dedicated to the production of artisanal products or any other field and it is you alone, you must know many things to get ahead and you must also be aware of the trends that arise so as not to be left behind, it is very important to have a capacity for adaptation and innovation, so that your products have that unique and differential touch.
About the adaptation due to the problems of the country that meant the reduction of the income of the population, I had to go from working in silver to working with copper and silver-plated bronze and I had to produce pieces more focused on a more general public.
Honestly, I feel that in some things I am very good, but in others that I want to develop in jewelry it has been difficult for me to advance, for example in the part of providing training, here I have many ideas and I have even had my own experiences; like when I gave a micro workshop to make wire rings or when I gave a presentation that generated a conversation with the theme of "Self-promotion Techniques for artisans and creative enterprises" I have given it twice and it was excellent...
I have also designed one for fretwork on metal, which is the technique that I master the most in jewelry, another that I am thinking of for photography of handcrafted accessories and editing with the phone, and finally another for managing Instagram also for artisans and people who have their own business and they need to learn.
Hmm... Reading myself, it seems that I have interesting proposals, at first I was self-conscious because honestly I was afraid to speak in public, fortunately I have overcome this enough; Another reason is that I planned to join forces with my old partner, but I could never move beyond ideas and this year was a restart with other responsibilities and interests.
I feel that I need support or guidance, to advance these ideas, I have the duty to take time to achieve it, since I proposed it as one of my goals for the year and I have not been able to take advantage of the opportunities that have arisen.
Think and execute the intention of obtaining economic gains through one or more skills, tastes and knowledge of which you already have some practical experience. For my handmade jewelry
Focus or define what is going to be done or developed, what is the offer. I went with personalized jewelry, Wicca-themed, Feng-Shui, using the fretwork technique or cut on sheet metal.
Self-financing and support.
Have a minimum initial working capital to start, such as tools, materials, work table.
Exhibit the product through the largest number of media, stores, fairs, digital marketplace, social networks, word of mouth, etc...
Reinvest in the initial stages a large part of the profits in raw materials, tools or anything else that is necessary to be able to have reserves for moments of growth in demand and take advantage of some opportunities when there seems to be a crisis.
Be willing to endure falls, failures and crises.
Develop capacity for adaptation and innovation, be aware of trends in the sector, economics, marketing, etc...
Training and self-training in complementary areas such as marketing, sales, public relations, networking, photography, finance, accounting, office automation, in everything that complements and helps us to be more competitive.
Develop the strengths and differentiators, in my case the fretwork technique on metal, being able to make my unique designs by computer that I can adapt and scale, friendly treatment, affordable prices... Having an approach of satisfying what the client asks.
Fear of not being sure due to lack of knowledge or experience.
Failed Associations
Absence of a guide to move forward
Other obligations, responsibilities and unforeseen.
