Reflejo
Tal vez, aspiro más de lo que puedo. Se me ha vuelto una utopía sentir orgullo de mi reflejo. No te confundas, no hablo del reflejo externo. No es la vanidad vacía y frívola mi deseo, mi obsesión, mi condena; es saber que el contenido de este armazón de carne está podrido, sucio, exiliado a una existencia precaria y sola.
Tal vez, desbordó más de lo que lleno. Puede que merezcas menos de lo que doy, pero sientes que lo que soy, no vale tanto como aparento. Poseo un núcleo que no acompaña, que amarga el aire y encierra miedos. Esencia pura de sus desprecios, mis días son, un vil tormento.
Tal vez, debo parar de hacer esfuerzos. Dejarme ir ciego entre espejos, para olvidar mi fiel anhelo. Ser un hombre digno de mi propio afecto. Quizá algún día pueda ser cierto, que de mi alma brote algo, un poco bello.

Reflection
Perhaps, I aspire more than I can. It has become a utopia for me to be proud of my reflection. Don't get confused, I'm not talking about the external reflection. Empty and frivolous vanity is not my desire, my obsession, my condemnation; it is knowing that the contents of this carcass of flesh are rotten, dirty, exiled to a precarious and lonely existence.
Perhaps, it overflowed more than it filled. You may deserve less than what I give, but you feel that what I am is not worth as much as I appear. I have a nucleus that does not accompany, that makes the air bitter and contains fears. Pure essence of their contempt, my days are a vile torment.
Maybe I should stop trying. Let me go blind between mirrors, to forget my faithful desire. To be a man worthy of my own affection. Maybe one day it can be true, that something, a little beautiful, will sprout from my soul.
