☃️ When it gets dark in SOLLEFTEÅ at 1500h ~ in SWEDEN 🇸🇪
I take you today to the TOWN OF SOLLEFTEÅ ~ in Västernorrland County, SWEDEN 🇸🇪 when it gets dark early and all the #twinkle #lights ✨ light up a SNOWY dark #WINTERS DAY. 🌨️☃️❄️
We visited early December 2023 last year. So we see also some Christmas decorations.
With this visit during sunset, around 1500h in the afternoon, last WINTER in the town of #SOLLEFTEA in SWEDEN 🇸🇪 I enter in this MONTH’S #WINTERCHALLENGE from

Let's start our walk today… I almost don’t dare to ask, but. Did you wrap up warm again? 😋😉
Good : here we go.
We parked our car in the large parking lot just next to the towns centre. We see some large buildings as we walk towards the main streets. It is 14:54h here and the sun is setting fast 🌆
We look to the right and see a frozen river and a park.
It looks cute now the streetlights are on. Makes it all more romantic 🥰
That’s the crossing over the road to enter the park. We will do so after we visit the towns main streets.
So let’s head there first now 😊
The shopping area is not large and it looks like we are almost the only ones here. ☃️ (The way I like it)
The trees are decorated with little twinkle ✨ lights.
Wandering a bit further to discover more, we find this sculpture of a goat 🐐
Surrounded by the snow. It will keep it warm during the cold nights as snow insulates. Haha

Of course I found also some #artworks / #murals in this town. I always look out for them when I am out and about. I wanted to include a few today from the #streetart on the walls of a #school I found another day.

The sunflowers 🌻 are so well done.
Next to the 2 artist’s tags : MÖFJ and MIKA and that it was created during 2022 and 2023 I can’t find any other information about them or the murals.

The bird is cute 😊
Created in 2022, the lettering shows the name of the school.
View further away from the whole building.
These are little outbuildings attached to the school.
We go back into the town for some hot coffee and hot chocolate 🍫 and to explore more of the streets… slowly it is getting darker now. It is 15:05 here.
The towns square is decorated with a tall #christmastree 🎄 Lots of lights and even a #star ⭐ at the top. Do you see it?
Looking towards the left we see the back of the townhall. I think 🤔
Just half an hour later it is getting really dark at 15:33h, we walk back to the park.
Looking at Sollefteå with all the lights on is stunning 🤩 The frozen river covered with snow makes for a beautiful view.
The trees next to the river have all lots of lights in them. ✨✨✨
The bright lights above this large building is from the ski slope. This town is at the foot of a large mountain 🏔️ With a large ski ⛷️ area.

We cross into the park.
The river runs into a little lake that goes into a much larger river. I like the forms the water created… a guide towards the distance 😊 Light #reflections in the water.
Looking back at the town we can just see the ski ⛷️ slope above it. The bright lights… 👇🏻 do you see them?
It was lovely ☺️ to take a stroll in the darker hours of the day in this cute town. With all the lights around, it changes the atmosphere. Looking very romantic on this wintery day 😊
