A new commitment to develop the weekend, there are already #106 so here I leave you the link to know all the topics, you still have time to participate.

Oh, I do like conflict, but don't misunderstand, for some time now I like to approach the subject of The Conflict to look for solutions, if it has them and if it doesn't have them or doesn't involve me directly, I play crazy. I do this so that my peace of mind is not affected.

Conflict can originate at any time, with a frequency perhaps more than desired and can be for something as simple as disagreeing with the decision making. We can experience it every day in our homes, as well as in our work and study places. It all depends on how we want to deal with it. Conflict is something natural.

All my personal life has been framed by conflicts, first of all because of my relationship with my mother and it is not that she is better or worse than me, it is just that we have different ways of seeing life and that causes us to conflict many times. She is a woman who speaks very loudly and without realizing it she starts to shout, I spent many years quietly avoiding the conflict to be prolonged, then I adopted a defensive position and everything got worse. I spent many years in silence avoiding the conflict, then I adopted a defensive position and everything got worse.

Then the relationship with my first husband, it was many years with differences of opinion and interest, of ways of estimating marriage, family, even respect and values. We fell into a vicious circle until I decided, for my own and my daughter's sake, to end the relationship.

That was when I decided to make a radical change in my life and from that moment on I am learning to manage conflicts so that they do not manage me. It also has a lot to do with emotions.

In my workplace I was never involved in conflicts, I always maintained good relations with all my bosses and colleagues, and if there was something I didn't like, I simply walked away. When conflicts arose due to differences of interest or opinion, I constantly remained as an observer and if any of the parties I trusted, I would approach them when there was a pause and give them a point of view trying to be as assertive and objective as possible, I like impartiality and fairness.

I wanted to learn so much about conflict and how to deal with it, that years ago in my workplace they offered several seminars and one of the ones I did was Conflict Management and Resolution, in fact I made a post three months ago sharing what I learned, too bad it did not have so much reach because it is an extremely important topic.

If I were to summarize my conflictive life I could conclude that: most of the time I have avoided conflict, to the point of remaining silent, even if the other party was wrong, then I lost control and my personal life became unsettled and not because I was looking for conflict, but because I didn't know how to handle it. Thanks to the learning acquired, the desire to live in harmony, a new family environment, the maturity of the years and experiences, I can say that today I approach conflict (the few that arise, fortunately) to take advantage of it.

Conflict is not always destructive, it can also be constructive and in this case it helps to clarify problems and controversies, it improves communication and understanding, we release emotions and stress, we develop skills, we become more understanding and empathetic. That is why we must have an attitude of positivism when it comes. So it's not all bad, that's why I like the topic of conflict.
