The unpredictable nature of life becomes evident during specific times throughout my existence. When a gun is pointed at me, my first response will be to experience intense fear and terror. The situation requires me to acknowledge that life exists in delicate balance between complete uncertainty and upcoming events which remain unknown. Unexpected things enter our existence because they originate from outside our control. I understand that I must pause my daily activities to reflect upon my positive aspects because life brings uncertainty yet I possess many reasons to express gratitude.

I thank God for my family. I grew up without financial resources, yet my existence was filled with love which material wealth can never provide. I received two families through my biological parents and my adopted parents. My biological parents faced numerous challenges when they tried to support our family needs. Their simple acts of dedication to our family value more than any material possessions. They showed me how to achieve my goals through dedication and determination combined with accountability. My parents taught me to establish family relationships through planning and prior financial stability.
I made education my first priority because I wanted to attend college before starting any romantic relationships. I take pride in being the first person in my family to complete college, which fills me with deep appreciation. The path to reach my goal proved challenging, but I found it beneficial in the end.

The work I do brings me another blessing which I appreciate. Through my job, I have been able to provide not only for myself but also for my biological siblings, especially in supporting their education. The ability to support my family brings me deep fulfillment. My job has provided me with opportunities to experience things which I previously believed existed only in my imagination. I have also had the joy of treating my loved ones, giving gifts, and spoiling my nieces and nephews. I hold their happiness close to my heart because I receive their love in return.

My good health brings me gratitude. I have never become sick enough to require hospital treatment during my 34 years of existence. I consider this to be a valuable gift. I believe it is through prayer, faith, and the blessings I continuously receive that I have been kept safe and healthy.
The house I received from my adoptive parents brings me gratitude. The building serves as a physical representation of all the security and stability which my parents have given me throughout my life. It exists as a permanent reminder that I will always have a house which I can call my own regardless of what life throws at me.

When I reflect on everything I have, I realize that I may not have a perfect life, but I have a meaningful one. The combination of my life's difficulties together with its blessings has brought me to the present moment of my existence.
