Love is an all type of love- Love from our family, Love from our friends, Love from stranger, Love of a person who chooses to stay by our side during our hardships. Love is not always expressed in the form of an expensive gift or a wonderful quote. Love is also found in small things such as, "Have you eaten", or when someone listens to you when you want to talk, or when someone help us when we are lost.
Life isn't always a bed of roses. We will experience setbacks, disappointment, failures, confusion, and even times when we feel isolated. There will be days we grow weary of being strong and just want to know that someone truly understands the struggles we're going through. That's when a reminder of love-kind words, a warm embrace, or a gentle touch-can carry us through until we get back on our feet again.
Love, still, isn´t about receiving. It is also about giving, sometimes without expecting nothing in return. Love is about learning to understand each other, forgiving, accepting each other's mistakes, respecting differences. Love isn´t about seeking perfection, because all human beings are flawed, imperfect and have weaknesses.
Yet most importantly, what we need to remember, is that love begins in ourselves and it grows through our relationship with God. When we learn to love ourselves, we learn to love others. When we let God's love lead our hearts, we learn to love when others are unloving.
In a world where there's too much hate, too much confusion, too much selfishness, love is what we all need. We can't change the world, but we can change the world with the love we give each day.
After all, we shouldn't have to wait for a perfect world to be happy. We need hearts to love, hands to help, and people to let us know that we matter. Love is what sustains us when we're unsure of anything else.
