¿Qué otras cosas me recomendarían? Me encantaría leer sus consejos y sus experiencias.

Of Embers and Sundays

Good morning, friends of @Holos&Lotus. I’m making this post thanks to the insightful words of damarys@damarys vibra, which made me think about what that inner fire might be that I could rekindle. And the more I thought about it, the more I realized it isn’t about a big bonfire, but about those embers that we sometimes let die out without even noticing.

I don’t really have a super life project I’d like to undertake, although I do have goals I’d like to achieve to improve personally and professionally. But more than that, right now, when routine and life in general have become harder, I find it difficult to enjoy, to please myself, to have a glass of wine while I read a great book. Simple things that my inner fire invites me to do, and that II almost always postpone because there’s something more important to do. And it’s not that that “something more important” isn’t important, but by trying to take care of everything, I’ve been leaving myself for later.

Among all the things I could do to feel more fulfilled, more accomplished, there would be reading. I really like to read, and sometimes that inner impulse rekindles in me and makes me read a book in a day. But then routine, my little girl, and work get the better of me, and I go months without touching a physical book, without rubbing each page, without immersing myself in the stories being told. I miss that feeling of paper between my fingers, of reaching a page and not wanting to let it go. It’s not just reading for the sake of reading; it’s what happens when I immerse myself: the outside world stops, and I can be someone else, or I can be more myself.
So, thinking about how I could reverse this, a good step would be to choose a book that interests me and read a few pages every day, depending on how much time I have. No demands, no guilt if one day I can’t. The idea is for it to be a habit that accompanies me, not just another task on the list.

Also, I thought Sunday could be the right day to pamper myself, to nurture my being, to do tasks that help my personal growth. Sunday has a different energy, like a pause, like a recap. I can get up without rushing, spend time with the book, write, organize my thoughts, do something that makes me feel good. And if I turn it into a standing date with myself, then it stops being a loose impulse and becomes part of my life. I don’t wantit to sound grandiose, because it isn’t. It’s simply giving myself a space, like someone watering a small plant every week. Sometimes the inner fire doesn’t need firewood; it needs consistency.

So this platform could play a nice role, because in a series that could be called “My Sunday Date” I could document the activities I do. Not only to record what I do, but to share what I learn. Maybe someone will read it and identify with it, or feel encouraged to pick up something they had pending. In this community there are many people who inspire, and I’d like to contribute my little grain of sand from the simple, from the everyday. And if my experience helps someone, or reminds them of something they had put away, then it was already worth it.

Do you think this would be a good way to keep alive the flame of that inner fire? What
other things would you recommend? I’d love to read your advice and your experiences.
