The Bicycle Waiting in the Sun
This time, my attention was caught by a bicycle that was simply parked on the pavement. There was nothing unusual about the scene, but the sunlight had created a clear shadow beside it, and that was enough to make me stop and take a photograph.
Esta vez llamó mi atención una bicicleta que estaba simplemente parqueada sobre el pavimento. No había nada fuera de lo común en la escena, pero la luz del sol había creado una sombra muy definida junto a ella, y eso fue suficiente para hacerme detener y tomar una fotografía.
I liked the contrast between the real bicycle and its shadow on the ground. The bicycle was completely still, but its shadow seemed to give the scene another shape and another way of seeing the same object.
Me gustó el contraste entre la bicicleta real y su sombra sobre el suelo. La bicicleta estaba completamente quieta, pero su sombra parecía darle a la escena otra forma y otra manera de observar el mismo objeto.
It is interesting how something we normally ignore can become the main subject of a photograph. A parked bicycle is an everyday sight, but when the light is right, even an ordinary pavement can become a small stage for shadows.
Es curioso cómo algo que normalmente ignoramos puede convertirse en el protagonista de una fotografía. Una bicicleta parqueada es algo que vemos todos los días, pero cuando la luz es la adecuada, hasta un pavimento común puede convertirse en un pequeño escenario para las sombras.
This was another reminder for me that being a shadow hunter is often about slowing down and looking at familiar things from a different angle.
Este fue otro de esos momentos que me recuerdan que ser un cazador de sombras muchas veces consiste en detenerse un poco y mirar las cosas conocidas desde otro ángulo.
