Another destination of my travel was the Japan fortress that was located in Ujeung Kareung, Sabang. We got this place by motorbike in the afternoon time. I was dying to visit this historical site to see how the Japan troops built a concrete fortress that was commonly used to defend from the attack as well as to monitor the sea traffic. This place was crowded by visitors just to learn the structure of building and the story behind this concrete building. The fortress is situated above the hill that faces to the sea. It was built on the purpose to control the enemy ships that crossed over the sea. As we know, Sabang sea is sorrounded by Malacca strait and Samudera India.
Tujuan lain dari perjalanan saya adalah benteng Jepang yang berada di Ujeung Kareung, Sabang. Saya sangat ingin mengunjungi situs bersejarah ini untuk melihat bagaimana pasukan Jepang membangun benteng beton yang biasa digunakan untuk mempertahankan diri dari serangan dan juga untuk memantau lalu lintas laut. Tempat ini ramai dikunjungi pengunjung hanya untuk mempelajari struktur bangunan dan cerita di balik bangunan beton ini. Benteng tersebut terletak di atas bukit yang menghadap ke laut. benteng Itu dibangun untuk mengendalikan kapal musuh yang melintasi laut. Seperti kita ketahui, laut Sabang diliputi oleh selat Malaka dan Samudera India.
The way to get fortess, we have to pass the narrow footpath that lead us to the fortress. This path was already rebuilt to ease the visitor to reach the place. We took a walk while observing the roots that attached on the wall. It took us around several minutes to get the fortress. Soon we got there, I choiced the right side to see over the ocean.
kita harus melewati jalan setapak yang sempit untuk mencapai ke benteng. Jalan ini sudah dibangun kembali untuk memudahkan pengunjung mencapai tempat tersebut. Kami berjalan sambil mengamati akar yang menempel di dinding bebatuan. butuh beberapa menit berjalan untuk sampai benteng tersebut .
This walking trail is intended for use only by pedestrians that was built by local goverment in narrow hill ridges. This ridge a feature that form a distance to certain direction. When we put our step to this red path, we started to fill that we were being somewhere around the jungle, not really wild of course and nothing to worry about. It was free to go through. Less than ten minutes, we reached the fortress.
Jalan setapak ini hanya untuk digunakan oleh pejalan kaki yang dibangun oleh pemerintah daerah sabang. Ketika kami melangkah ke jalur ini, kami mulai menyadari bahwa kami berada di sekitar hutan, tentu saja tidak perlu dikhawatirkan. Kurang dari sepuluh menit, kami sampai di benteng.
You see! The vast ocean laid before us. We then stood on the hill near the fortress. We could see a fracture of white spark that floated over the water. The astral-blue smotheness from the horizon, it was very amazing view of the borderless sea. In the distance, I could notice a blue grey line that flow through crack in the cloud. Then, we decided to stay for awhile on the hill and tried to manage to go inside the fortress. It was full of history that we may not forget about this heritage.
Lihat! Lautan luas di depan mata kita. Kami kemudian berdiri di atas bukit dekat benteng. Kita bisa melihat adanya percikan putih yang melayang di atas air. Aroma biru astral dari cakrawala, pemandangan laut tanpa batas yang sangat menakjubkan. Di kejauhan, aku bisa melihat garis abu-abu biru yang mengalir melalui celah di awan. Kemudian, kami memutuskan untuk tinggal sebentar di atas bukit dan mencoba masuk ke dalam benteng. Itu penuh dengan sejarah bahwa kita mungkin tidak melupakan warisan ini.
