Hello Friends, and thank you for your visit!
🙋🏻♀️☺️🙋🏻♀️
It is #wednesdaywalk #25 of 2026, and I decided to go over to Lakeview Park and take a look at how things are going over there.
For starters, it was pretty warm, and there was less birds than normal - but the water level seems to be holding!
And on to the walk!
So first I found a few "Chaste trees" blooming! They look similar to Lilacs - but are not. Here is a single stalk,
And this is the top of another bush,
Then these Pigeons flew by,
And two landed on the wires,
Here is the Goose from a few weeks ago, see the black spots in the water? They are Turtles, and there are many!
Here she came a little close,
And a few more Turtles,
And all of those black spots are Turtles,
Here is a group of Ducks I found a little further along the Shoreline, they are mostly Ducks that were one time pets - these are most likely American Pekin ducks,
And the Goose was on me! Keeping it's distance - but walking along,
These are two "Leghorns" that I found under some bushes,
These are "Khaki Ducks" that I found also living under the bushes, and also for sure bought as pets,
On the walk back I passed these two Pigeons,
And then the Goose with Turtles, and a female Blackbird,
And now a few more male Blackbirds, she must be the leader at the pond for the birds.
And well, this week from the research I figured out that people are dumping domestic animals here they no longer want. Hmmm.... "Bad Behavior", and sad ...
And so that was my #wednesdaywalk this week, and I learned something - albeit not the best...
I want to thank you again for your visit - "Stay Blessed, Safe, and Happy"!
