Hola querida comunidad,

HELPFUL VS SERVILITY
Hello dear community, I wanted to go through this community, because sometimes my thoughts exceed my imagination, you are not reading it backwards, I like to think more than to imagine things, although the latter is part of dreaming big.
Always in life, we are growing, maturing or we are still little and we don't mature hehe, but what is constant is that they tell you: what are you going to study? Or what do you want to do when you grow up? And that's what it's all about, find your vocation.
Since I was little I have always liked to help people without expecting anything in return, in fact, there is a very broad debate here, because some peolple say:
That everyone expects something in return and nobody does anything without benefit
Then if it is so I am not from this planet. I do not expect anything in return, but if reciprocity is needed, it is part of a healthy coexistence, if there is not, it does not matter, there is the satisfaction of being helpful; That's right, in my first job in Maracay, I discovered that my vocation is service.
But over time, it has been necessary to know how to discern between when I am being helpful and when I am being servile, because they are two different things and, although only a thread separates them that can easily break, it is necessary to establish limits.
Well, to me, I confess, involuntarily and without realizing it, sometimes I do not draw those limits, I break that thread and I am left as a world without borders, but the reality is that looking for that satisfaction that fills me with happiness by helping people and give them my unconditional support, I must be firm and reflect, who I am helping and how I should handle it, because not everyone knows how to set those limits and they tend to abuse this service.
Let's see what the Dictionary.com tells us about these concepts:
Perhaps they are strong concepts, but here I bring you others:
Being "of service" implies mutual obligation; you are choosing, as an equal, to be of assistance. It's the exact opposite of being servile, which is how a slave acts when he truckles to his master.
Be Of Service
The truth is that there should be no abuse of trust and there should be no servility of generous service, there my dilemma and it is not a questionable dilemma, it is a firm discussion that has a definite conclusion. That is why, over time, I allow myself to tell you that in order to know how to differentiate and know how I am behaving, it is necessary to know the following:
• Be observant.
• That it is a voluntary service or support.
• Know how to say no.
• Nothing forced is good.
• Have maturity and that the other person perceives it that way.
• Be communicative and
• That your peace and satisfaction should not be disturbed by anyone.
