Aprendiendo a preparar Pasapalos

Good, good, good, people of Hive Food, once again here in this rich community, yes rich, for the delicious food dishes that you are always sharing in this community. I greet you with love, as well as everyone who reads me.
This time I don't bring you a recipe, I want to share with you a memory that Google Photos brought me today, the truth is that I am very happy with this tool, from time to time it brings me so many memories that make me happy and nostalgic at the same time.
I had my phone in my hand when on the screen appeared the photos that I will be showing you below, in which a few years ago I was doing with my sisters a course of pasapalos (snacks, snacks, sandwiches, snacks, pasabocas) sweet and savory. Pasapalos we call it here in Venezuela, in other countries it has other names among which are the ones I put in brackets.
These we like to eat while we are celebrating or as the story goes, while having a few drinks. I say this remembering what my mother used to tell me, many years ago when she could drink alcohol.
On weekend nights she and my dad would have a few beers while talking in the living room of the house, she would tell him that she would not have a drink if she did not have snacks to eat, bananas and peanuts were her favorites, this makes me cry, what times those were.
In my city there is an institution that, among its activities, trains communities in different areas such as pastry making, baking, sewing, handicrafts and other tasks, called Unipso.fuses.
Since I like to learn a little bit of everything, when they were going to do this course near my mom's house, in which we would learn how to prepare different snacks, my sisters and I signed up at once.
Of all that we learned we have put it into practice at home, my sister Karen, God rest her soul, is the one who has a red shirt, of all my siblings she was the one who had the best seasoning in the preparation of meals, just like my dear father, both righteous in heaven.
Here we used to prepare delicious ham breads, the preparation of the dough was a great success, we put bacon on one of the breads and it gave it an especially delicious touch. In December my sister Zulimar, who did not appear in these photos, is in charge of making the ham breads, she gets along better with that dough hehehehe.
In this course we learned to make many things, since the intention is to teach the people of the community to make something that can be useful to start a business and to be able to contribute with the family expenses and much more.
The lady who comes out alone with the ham bread in hand was the instructor, today she continues with the same task, she is trained in several areas (she does everything and teaches it), she is very competent, with a great vocation to educate, cheerful and with a great spirit of companionship. The truth is that I am grateful to her for everything she has taught me.
The course lasted about 2 months, twice a week, from 3 to 6 in the afternoon, we were a group of about 15 people more or less, we had the dynamic that for each class, depending on the pasapalo we were going to prepare, we divided the ingredients, because in the same day we prepared several things at the same time, as you can see in these pictures.
One day, we prepared ham bread, powdered cookies and puff pastry palms, on another day we prepared red dot cookies and Suspiros, so successively in each class we prepared several desserts or savory appetizers.
This is why, in order to get the most economical ingredients, everyone brought something. For example, if in the next class we had to make a cake, one person would bring the flour, another the eggs, another the sugar and so on with the other ingredients. All this taking into account that it was a low-income community and the institution only provided the knowledge, but not the ingredients.
We were grateful and happy with this opportunity that they gave us, and the best part was that after the class was over, there was a tasting of everything we prepared and it was like a party, in which we shared tasty food, because everything was delicious, especially those ham breads, they were worldwide. I even kept my princesses so that they could also taste and my sister, who has no children, would take them to my mother.
Well, friends, I would like to share with you this experience that I had some time ago, thanks to this course and others that I have also taken, it has helped me when we have a party at home, we know what to prepare, as long as the economic resources allow us to do so.
The photos were taken from my personal archive with my phone, this time I captured Google photos.
