Friendly basketball match
My lovely people, I’m so pleased to pop in here to tell you about this friendly match I enjoyed with my daughter Arianna. It was last weekend; we were all going to go as a family in the car, but it fell through at the last minute.
So they made room for us on the coach that the athletes were taking, along with some officials. We travelled together, chatted a lot on the way and took some photos on the journey to Puerto La Cruz, another city in my country.
The journey was lovely; the coach was comfortable, with music playing, and the atmosphere was lovely and cool as we set off early.
When we arrived, we had a look around the venue, which was very well maintained; they have a baseball ground, basketball courts and volleyball courts; I’m not sure if they play any other sports there. It’s called the La Caraqueña Sports Centre; what’s more, they’re celebrating their 60th anniversary.
My little princess and her team were competing in three age groups: the U12s, U14s and U16s. Arianna played in the U16s; although they scored plenty of points, they didn’t win. Of the three age groups, only the U16s won.
The matches were really exciting. Every young player did their bit on the court; there’s still plenty of room for improvement, but they put up a good fight and all these matches help them to better themselves.
Here’s the video so you can see our adventure at this girls’ match. Thank you very much for visiting my blog.
