I started a barn find with my 1968 Ford Mustang GT2, attempting shortcuts through wild terrain before following the map's route. At last, I discovered a 1967 Ford Racing Escort MK1 in need of restoration. Though it cost 498,000 CR, the car is a rare collectible in its original white color.
I tried my 1968 Ford Mustang GT2 Plus 2 Fastback for a barn find, where I had to recover and restore a vehicle. And you can see how I started my journey with this beauty.
At first, I set the coordinates on the world map, and when I went out of the festival site, I noticed the location was set above that mountain ahead. So, I was riding toward that mountain.
I usually don't follow the route plan that the map gives me. Instead, I try to cut a shortcut through the wild. And I was doing the same to get to that mountain. But when I reached a good height, I understood it was a mistake.
My car stopped going up at a certain point. No matter how hard I was trying, only the wheels were rotating, and there were pebbles on the back wheels that were thrown out of the mountain, but I was not gaining any more height.
Yes, I had to accept defeat against the wild road, cause I understood this car is not for the wilderness. So I backed up and drove towards the surface, towards the route plan the map had suggested from the beginning.
After going to a low altitude, I found a route that was also wild, but it was still a road. So I started driving on it, and I noticed there were some structures around.
After driving on that road for some time, I stopped to take in this view. Just look at this view, ain't it amazing? The sea and the clear sky added so much beauty to this frame.
I tried to take a little shortcut through a low height, but I failed there as well, and I had to back up again. It was like the game was telling me, "You need to follow our plan this time, no matter how hard you try".
On my way, I found another 1968 Ford Mustang GT2, the same one I was driving, and I bumped it up when I was overtaking it.
And at last, I reached the location that looked like an abandoned place. There was this garage that should have been holding the car that I was looking for.
A lady came over to show me the damaged car and said, It is Uncle Victor's car. It's a Ford Escort. Less than a quarter of the field made it to the finish line in Mexico City. But 5 out of 10 were these things. That's how it got the name.
And this is the car we are talking about. It's a 1967 Ford Racing Escort MK1. And it's in its original white color that I didn't touch.
The most surprising thing is, I had to spend 498,000 CR to get this car restored, as it was undergoing part stripping and cataloging. I don't think this car is worth all that CR if it comes to speed, but it's a rare car for a collection.
