Searching the Dimensional Research department for the slide projector object of power, I found Jesse waiting. Navigating rooms covered in orange sand projections, I triggered a switch that temporarily trapped me before discovering video footage of Darling discussing early expedition casualties and strange audio anomalies.
I needed to search the area for the slide projector object of power now, moving deeper into the Dimensional Research department. I found Jesse right where I kept her waiting last time, so it was time to move ahead without knowing what was waiting for us.
I had enjoyed the last time I played the game and hoped I would enjoy it this time as well, eager to see what happened next. I used photo mode to tweak some good angles for photos, noticing how the detailed orange sand had covered the whole staircase, giving me a hint of something waiting ahead.
What was this place? Jesse mentioned there was a door around here where she and Dylan met, and the Bureau had opened that same door, but there was just an echo now, with no door in sight. The whole area looked covered with the projection of something, specifically those red-orange sands.
I realized those orange sands weren't real here; they were just projections, though I noticed real sand around when I ran ahead a little. I was confused about where to go next, so I used my levitate ability to get to high ground to understand the layout.
When I didn't find anything on that side, I checked the other side, using my levitate ability to easily cross over to a door I had spotted. The door looked closed, but when I approached, it opened up for me right away without needing any key.
I went inside and found a switch to interact with, and after pressing it, a door opened up to the other side where I should've found the slide projector.
The slide projector wasn't there, having been moved again as Jesse mentioned, leaving her confused about what Darling had done with it and determined to find out.
Since it wasn't there, I needed to keep searching. I saw another switch and pressed it right away without knowing what it would unlock or unleash, which actually closed the door to the other side.
The switch closed all the doors and kind of trapped me inside the room, though I could always use the switch again to open the door back up.
After getting to the other side, I found a wall with a lot of monitors showing footage of Darling.
He was trying to prove something, mentioning there were casualties on their first expedition and that there was no sound there because audio does not work, carrying a resonance from an unknown source within the range of audio frequencies, though I didn't want to listen to his crap.
