Le dijo el hombre a la niña: “Ten cuidado con la cuerda";

It was a sunny afternoon, with a cool breeze and blue sky.
Maria went out to play in the square, very close to the birch tree.
She carried her pink rope to jump and jump.
She was the spoiled child, daddy's darling.

She ran near the fountain, where the pigeons were eating.
Two chatty ladies were also sitting there.
The little girl Maria could not jump as she wished.
She went to another place, very close to the road.

Even on the roadway, Maria could not jump quietly.
A candy seller was trying to earn his living.
The man said to the girl: "Be careful with the rope";
Maria left the place, she was a little upset.

Maybe she could jump near the duck pond.
A peculiar photographer made her wait for a while.
A couple with their child was having their picture taken.
Maria was about to make a fuss.

She went to the sandbox looking for a better spot.
The place was empty, ideal for jumping.
There were no photographers, vendors or ladies.
It was the ideal moment, as the area was alone.

Maria was very happy playing jump rope.
She counted one, two and three, she didn't know any more letters.
She spent a joyful afternoon in her favorite square,
without bothering anyone, jumping rope all by herself.
