Hi, community friends !!!

This afternoon I am going to prepare a delicious sweet bread typical of Venezuelan gastronomy, the golfeado. This is a sweet in the form of rolls, filled with panela, cinnamon, sweet anise and grated Creole white cheese, and covered with a large amount of cheese on top ... a real delicacy of the gods.

The ingredients to use are the following:

• ½ grated panela.

• ¼ kg. grated white cheese.

• ½ kg. all-purpose wheat flour.

• 100 gr. sugar.

• 1 egg.

• 80 gr of butter.

• 1/2 tablespoon of yeast.

• 1 cup. hot milk.

• Sweet anise and ground cinnamon.

The first thing to do is put the warm milk in a container, add the yeast and sugar; then add the other ingredients, the egg, the butter, the flour, little by little, until you obtain a smooth and compact dough. Let stand for two hours until it doubles in size.

At the end of that time, it is kneaded gently to remove the air, and spread the dough out in a rectangular shape on the kitchen counter.

Cover the dough with melted butter and add the grated panela, grated white cheese, sweet anise grains and cinnamon. Now you should wrap in one direction, tightly squeezing the dough and sealing the end of the cylinder, to prevent it from opening.

Chop into thick slices and place on a greased tray, let stand 30 minutes, before baking, paint with a little molasses and add grated cheese on top.

Finally, bake at 180 ° C for about 30 minutes or until golden.

Friends !!! Enjoy this delicious typical Venezuelan sweet, in my country this sweet is very popular in all bakeries and we usually eat it as a snack, in the company of delicious coffee.
