Mi domingo musical - Up From The Bottom - Linkin Park / my musical Sunday Up From The Bottom - Linkin Park
Hoy mi domingo musical. Up From The Bottom - Linkin Park

Today is my musical Sunday. Up From The Bottom - Linkin Park
Today is my musical Sunday, and well, I'm bringing you a bit of my friends from Linkin Park. Even though it's very early in the morning to play this song at high volume, I simply turned it on at a low volume so my wife wouldn't say anything to me, but since I love this genre of music, today I'm bringing it to share with all of you.
The song I chose is Up From The Bottom, a track they recently released in 2025. This song really got me thinking as soon as it started playing; I simply liked it. It has that heavy touch—that rough, direct style that has always characterized my buddies from Linkin—but with lyrics that hit you directly about what it feels like to be trapped, to feel like you're running out of air, and to be looking at everything from the bottom of a well. And I won't deny it: while listening to it in this morning silence, I couldn't help but connect those lyrics with our reality here in Venezuela.
Because if there's one thing we know, it's precisely what that phrase about feeling the air run out means. It's that constant day-to-day pressure, the uncertainty we have to juggle, and that desire to push forward when it seems like your environment is pulling you down—our country, even fellow Venezuelans making things harder for each other—it has demanded a level of resilience from us that sometimes we don't even know where we pull it from.
But the valuable thing about this track isn't just the part where it describes the feeling of suffocating; the song isn't about staying on the ground complaining. It's a great way to release anger and strength to gain momentum and climb back up. Hitting rock bottom for a Venezuelan has never been the end of our story—it's rather the anchor point to reinvent ourselves, build businesses, grit our teeth, and keep constructing.
Sometimes we need songs like this—ones that don't cover things up with false optimism, but instead let us release the weight, validate our tiredness, and remind us that no matter how deep the moment feels, there is always strength left to breathe again. And music, in any genre, often makes us feel good enough to keep going.
