Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. It’s finally the first day of the week again! Of course, my wife and I have to head into town. Time for our weekly grocery shopping to stock up for the family. We are leaving for town later than usual this week. Usually, we head into the town in the morning after taking our granddaughter and autistic son to school. However, this time we returned home first, and we are going into town near noon. Lotus's remains our go-to place for stocking up on groceries and essentials this time. Even though prices have gone up, but some items are still cheaper than elsewhere. Plus, it is convenient and has everything we need to stock up on. Once again, I forgot to capture the atmosphere during our drive along the main road into town. We arrived in the town and at Lotus's around 11:30 AM. For our lunch today, We're eating at the Lotus’s food court. Wide rice noodles with pork in thick gravy is another one of my favorite dishes there. The number of people eating in the food court today is surprisingly low, but it doesn't bother us. We're still happily enjoying our lunch.
After finishing lunch, we took a short break to let our food digest, and now it is time for shopping. We have only an hour for this shopping trip because we must pick up our autistic son from school before 1 PM. However, it should be enough time since we do not need to buy many groceries and essentials this week; we still have a good amount left over from last week.
And these are the vibe in the supermarket at Lotus's and our shopping. The vibe in the supermarket today : low consumer traffic is a stark reflection of the economic downturn. However, we still enjoyed this shopping experience. We prefer less crowded places as they are more convenient, despite having to spend more than usual this time.
