For me sleep comes relatively easy, not always but for the majority of the time I am asleep within 5 minuets of getting into bed. And I believe why I sleep so well is because I always do a full stretch for about 10 minuets every night.
This could be a coincidence but I don't think so, because the main reason most people struggle to sleep is because of stress. Stretching relaxes, reduces tension and stress within your physical body, as well as allowing you to distress your mind through focusing on the simple actions of stretching.
You can stretch what every way you may want, personally I usually work either down or up and then some back stretches and full body extensions like reaching as far as I can upwards. I understand that there are many different techniques people use to try to get to sleep so find one that works for you. Personally this is the best one, music isn't bad but I feel it can stimulate my brain too much and ill find myself thinking about the lyrics or humming the melody. Its also scientifically proven to simulate a variety of areas across the brain so probably not good to try to sleep to.
Give me your top suggestions for falling asleep in the comments as well as any other points you want to make about this post! All feedback is welcomed.
