Greetings People!馃檶

Someone once said, "If, as a young guy, you can't kill pursue a snake that enters your house, you're not ready for marriage".

The sentence sounds so simple, but there's actually a deep insight in it. Let's say;
As a guy, a snake enters your house at night with your girlfriend around, and instead of you killing pursuing that snake out, you start running helterskelter. Should we call this person a guy?

This scenario happened to one of my roommates in school.

Nancy was one lady in the lodge I had a crush on, and I tried approaching her, but she saw all my 'maddd' approaches as I wasn't serious. I maintained my cool and kept trying whenever I saw greenlights but the main turn off came when she started announcing that she can not date a guy in the same lodge. Omo! I got weakend.
I stopped trying because I noticed it was because of me that she started announcing that, and that's her own way of announcing she isn't cheap. She isn't cheap, but she begs for foodstuffs every now and then. Mtchwwwwwww 馃ぇ
Then suddenly, she started bringing guys to her house, where they spent late evenings together untill either the guy leaves or both of them.

One Wednesday, it was around 7:00 p.m., and I had just returned from midweek service when I heard a shout in Nancy's room; "Snake snake snake!"

I wanted to run to help out until I heard a guy's voice shouting, "My mother, my mother!"
I just walked to my door and jammed it because I knew they'd try to rush in through any door that was opened. I locked the door and remained deaf to their continuous screams.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps running to my door, and before I knew it, Nancy was banging on my door.
"Kingsley, please open the door, there's a snake in my room," she said, panting.
Behind her voice was a guy's voice as well.

Again, I wanted to go and let her in, but the guy's voice made me stay back, pressing my phone on my bed as if I wasn't concerned about what was happening outside.
It seems I was the only guy in the lodge that day because I didn't hear any other voices, voices like neighbours coming out to check on what was happening.

After much disturbance at my door, I reluctantly got up from my bed and opened the door for them. Nancy rushed in as soon as the door opened with her 'yeye' guy. Two of them were panting heavily.

"Oh boy, I fear snakes like death," the guy said as soon as he entered my room, when no one asked him. I think he was trying to justify why the 0.5% bravery God gave him as a man disappeared immediately he saw a snake.

"I can't believe I've been living with a snake in my room. Who knows how long this snake has been living inside my house? I'm not going to sleep in that house anymore."
Nancy added her own verse.

In all these, my mind was just on the guy, "so this is the reason Nancy has refused to accept my genuine greenlights? A guy who can't fight a snake."

I got up and brought out a cutlass from the kitchen (the landlord's cutlass that I seized) and told her to lead the way to her room.

"Wait, you mean you want to go and kill the snake? Kingsley, it's very risky." Immediately after Nancy said this, my shoulder raised so high, she just noticed my bravery. I nodded my head and left them in my room and head on to hers.

To be honest, I was a bit scared because I didn't ask them how big the snake is; I don't know if it's an anaconda.

Guess what? I searched and searched, and I found out that it was a loose weavon that she saw that made them run away from the room.

I had to call her to come and see; she came, I showed her the hair, and she confirmed that's exactly what she saw.

Mtchwwwwwww!

The boyfriend came out and suggested that she should follow him to his house to pass the night there because there's no way either of them could sleep in that room.

Omo, that's a mini breakfast on my side, but I didn't feel it much because I was very sure I gained some points on the scoreline in case I want to approach her again.

Question to the guys reading this;
If you see a snake in your house with your girlfriend around, what would be your actions? If you like, lie
