Hello friends and community members,
I think yesterday was Bat Appreciation Day? I kinda lost track of time but I made this drawing of a bat character anyway. Her name is Detective Echo. She looks like the type to sneak around in the fog with her coat and little boots on, maybe solving mysteries that no one else notices. I drew this one while thinking of the city at night and how quiet it gets when everyone is home and the real stories start unfolding.
While I was reading up on bats, I found out that they actually eat mosquitoes. A lot of them. And I thought wow aside from scary they are helpful, they are really out here doing pest control for free. Meanwhile, the rest of us are clueless trying our best with citronella candles, oregano plants and what have you
So yeah, this one goes out to the quiet little creatures who make the world better without asking for attention. Thank you, bats. You are deeply appreciated.
Might do more drawings of Detective Echo soon. She seems like she has a lot of stories.
If you think of creating bat related art please do so oh BTW I would appreciate your support by giving this post your likes. Let us appreciate the art made by our fellow creatives too. Thank you for stopping by
