Happy Thursday Hivers!

In the kitchen, we also need to be creative because we can’t always avoid having leftovers.

Some leftovers are easy to enjoy, especially those with soup or dishes that taste just as good, or even better when reheated. All you have to do is reheat them, and the original flavor comes right back.

But what about those leftovers that become a little boring to eat, even after reheating them? That’s where our creativity in the kitchen should come in. Instead of simply reheating the same dish again, we can transform it into something new, more exciting, and enjoyable to eat.

We had two pieces of leftover fried fish, and honestly, fried fish can get a little boring to eat, especially after it has been sitting in the fridge. I started thinking about what I could do to make it more enjoyable instead of simply reheating it.

Then I remembered that we still had some macaroni at home. We didn’t have carrots or cabbage available, but the macaroni was already enough to make the meal more exciting. At least, we could turn the leftover fried fish into something with soup, making it feel like a completely different dish.

So, instead of just reheating the fried fish, I decided to add it to a macaroni soup. It was a simple way to give our leftovers a little makeover and make them more appetizing again.

First, I flaked the fried fish into small pieces and carefully removed all the bones. Then, I boiled the macaroni separately with salt and oil until it became tender. Once it was cooked, I strained it to remove the water.

Next, I sautéed some garlic and added the flaked fish. After that, I added the cooked macaroni and some seasoning, then poured in some water to turn it into a simple soup.

I let everything simmer for a few minutes until it was completely cooked and all the flavors had come together. What started as leftover fried fish was slowly turning into something much more appetizing!

And that’s how I turned our leftover fried fish into a warm and flavorful macaroni soup. It’s a simple reminder that with a little creativity, leftovers don’t have to be boring, you can always turn them into something new and delicious.
