This is one of my favourite places to walk. Cootes Paradise, over 1000 acres in the heart of a city.
One of the most bio diverse areas in North America.
There is an island in the marsh I always wanted to check out and......
this was my opportunity now that a cold snap has iced it over. Obviously many others had the .....
same idea with all the tracks leading out there.
Cormorants were extinct in the area for years and then reintroduced, they.....
are thriving, so much so they have instituted population control measures.
This small island by my count had over 70 nests, and all the waste they produce, inhibits anything from growing and eventually...
killing the trees they nest on.
I'm glad I finally got to check it out up.....
