The young girl turned into very beautiful, captivating respectful and amassed employee at one of the richest firms here in Nigeria. she knelt once more to say good-bye to her aunt as she hurriedly walked toward her brand new car. she appeared so glad, successful and progressive in lifestyles. she actually came to drop off her nine months old baby and her nanny for her aunt before heading to the office. I noticed admiration look on her aunt’s face as she gazed at her young niece as she entered her official car to work driven by her official driver. Her mom is in U.S.A for medical checkup and to spend some time with her other siblings. That is the reason for bringing her toddler to her aunt.
As she drove off, the aunt who noticed that I was watching what was happening, smiled at me and said; “opportunity is vital in lifestyles”, she told me how her daughter was very brilliant than her niece during her school days she persisted, “see it now, she is doing thoroughly well and my outstanding daughter is a mere primary college mathematics teacher in a small faculty around the neighborhood. opportunity is the determinant of fate on this planet” she said. I did not reply to her, I simply smiled and saved my opinion to myself, it didn’t matter besides, in that state of mind, saying something against her submission would offend or upset her. I just bade her farewell as I went for my work.
My friend, I have heard it before and it is not right to always hold opportunity responsible for our failure in life. We often create life styles that deprives us from achieving our aims and goals in life. So putting our failure or blaming it on opportunity in life is a mere illusion that only encourages our laziness. It surprises me to hear many people saying that if they are at certain environment or if they are connected to the rich people, they would have achieved their goals, dreams and aim in life. The worst set are the ones that believe solely that opportunity comes but once and if you miss it, you have missed it for life. Please my friend, this is not completely true.
Opportunity is the chance you have while you are still alive to create, grow or do something appreciated. It is your willingness and ability to do something. It is your chance to do, showcase, build, create, become and access something. You can liken opportunity as a product displayed on a shelf in a grocery store awaiting those with the ability and capability, to select them and pay for it. Please take note, opportunities are now and again not supplied in wonderful attractive packages, opportunities are maximum times, situations and troubles awaiting answers with a big and compelling reward for that man or woman with the satisfactory solution or answer to the challenges and troubles.
In my country for instance, if you take a great look, you will see the very many issues anywhere you switch to, if you look around and spot many conditions and challenges begging for someone who can clear them, it is an honest indication for you to become tremendous, applicable and prosperous in Nigeria. Observing these opportunity does not imply that you will not pay the price attached to its success. Asking for, or wishing alone to get an opportunity without your willingness to pay the price is a mere child’s play.
Have you noticed that opportunity have a cost? That is why it is called opportunity cost. It cannot be taking without being paid for with something valuable. Your willingness to give up something valuable in other to obtain your desire is opportunity.
My friend, look around you and discover your opportunity. Let’s continue later. Thanks for your support. I appreciate. You can hit me up on your views and opinion on this. Thanks.
