Is it right for your boyfriend to have a female best friend?

Your boyfriend is supposed to be your best friend and likewise a girlfriend to her boyfriend.

I see having a best friend of the opposite sex as a threat to the relationship.

You spend as much time with your best friend that you should be spending with your boyfriend/girlfriend.

You pay so much attention to this so-called best friend and that in turn increases the level of attention and loyalty you get from that person.

You tell him/her everything and he/she is the first person you want to talk to when bae/boo gets you angry instead of settling the issue with them amicably.

For me personally, I do not think it is right for your boyfriend to have a female best friend not like he shouldn't have girlfriends at all.
