People who are not living in third-world African countries do not understand how governments play a role in impoverishing their citizens. Nigeria is one of the richest countries in Africa, but it's one of the poorest when you talk of the per Capita income of people and their quality of life, and this is directly linked to the lack of money-making opportunities that weren't created for sustenance. It's the reason why the UK has the highest number of Nigerian immigrants.
There are opportunities for work in the UK and it's so surprising that no matter how many are in the UK, there is still lots of work. People still prefer to endure some of the heinous working conditions out there, because they feel it's worth a shot and it gives them several opportunities for good health care, quality system, and all that. It's more like taking their chances with the unknown rather than an economy like Nigeria which is on a constant downslide. It's not like the UK government isn't corrupt, the fact is that they are.
But a lot of people often make the mistake of comparing the corruption in the UK and Nigeria. It's not the same. Nigerian corruption aims at completely incapacitating the people, giving them less opportunity to be creative and productive, severely reducing their chances at life, and completely keeping the electorate at their beck and call. Nigeria is wealthy, no jokes. But having the country's wealth in the hands of the wrong people is the root of the problem.
Having a third-world mentality is why revolution cannot take place in Nigeria. People want to vote for the politicians that are from their tribes, religion, local government, etc. These same people know the MO They know that even if Nigeria has educated elites, they still vote like uneducated people, they use sentiments to divide people and plunge the nation into darkness, poverty, and hyperinflation.
While people in Europe and America are fighting for crypto freedom, the people here are fighting against government-induced poverty. For example, Nigeria is one such country where people are not even fighting to have basic things like electricity, good health care, a system that works, and all that, so it's difficult to even talk crypto when people are still battling the naira and dollar debacle, the uselessness of the minimum wage, and the economical devaluation of people's efforts. It's not like Nigeria is completely anti-crypto.
Government in recent years suddenly became anti-crypto because people are educating themselves on better options than the Nigerian naira. A lot of people only heard of BTC or USDT not because they're crypto enthusiasts, but because they started searching for ways to help their income escape the naira devaluation. Necessity is the mother of invention. Ignorance, sometimes is a state of mind that's achieved by having everything that makes you comfortable.
Some Nigerians seek knowledge not because they're not from a second or first-world country, but because they're faced with 95% of issues of which seeking the right knowledge is the only way to free themselves. Nigerians are arguably the most traveled people in the world. Why? The quest to seek a better life and not because of the love of tourism. A lot of people take it too far anyway, and this is why some countries now maintain strict laws on how Nigerians operate on their shores.
For example, the UK is probably tightening its grip on the issuance of visas and the terms and conditions that come with it. Simply put, there are countries that are wealthy because of the ineptitude of the Nigerian government. It simply means that there are countries that have themselves sustainable livelihoods because of the corruption in our system.
Nigeria can actually become one of the best places in the world. Imagine making the economy crypto-friendly, it'll open the shores of the countries to more economic expansion and exploration.
However, we don't have smart people at the helm of affairs. They're too busy with the country's generated wealth. Exploring or opening crypto gates in Nigeria will even solve some aspects of hyperinflation, but only smart people can do this, but we recycle the same set of people over and over again. If you earn in Naira out there, consider HBD and USDT to save your monthly income
