So, we've suffered power failure in my area for a while now, and I've not been able to meet up with my workload and it's been horrible. I've had to pend everything I was supposed to do and it's been honestly very difficult.
My work has suffered, my time on Hive has suffered, and even my rest time as well. It's hard to imagine that life revolves around things like electricity.. its underrated, until the power suddenly goes out and you discover that it's been an important ingredient to how productive or creative you can be, until it's not there.
When I look at life careful. I think humans (us) are the most mindless creatures. For example, no one actively takes note of when they're breathing, blinking, or may feels those liver detoxifying their system, or the kidneys, doing the actual job of dumping the toxins in the blood into the urine, or perhaps how the stomach acid turns wasted food remains into faeces.
These things happens subconsciously, until an organ decides to fail and you're desperately waiting for the blood to get cleansed. A lot is people don't even understand the biological composition of how their lungs converts the air outside and makes it useful for the brain, blood and organs.
Man was perfectly designed to be biologically clueless of how the body functions, and except they have symptoms, no one bothers to check things like heart rate or how their system bothers because these things don't make themselves obvious to us.
This is how we're also clueless to the things around us, and only begins to look for solutions when it's gone. It's teaches us a psychological lesson of the need to see people beyond what we think they offer.
From the least important person to the most important person, most times, the people we perceive to be useless may be silently playing roles that are very underrated and we just don't know.
Mindful alertness
This means that sometimes we need to be psychologically at alert, our heart and mind needs to be constantly awake to the realities around us, and we have to learn to appreciate or understand the roles and perspectives of people and things.
If you find yourself to be very mindless and hardly taking to heart the importance of people and things around you, then it's important to understand that we may misjudge the importance of people and place in our lives.
We have to fight against the complacency that comes with mindlessness. The laziness that comes with not being a deep thinker, not looking or appreciated or understanding the life around us.
The type of urge we feel to look at life on the surface without taking time to understand the concept of reality is a really terrible way to live life. Life in all its beauty and Mystery needs to be studied.
Mindlessness is what makes people unwise, because it's difficult to see a deep thinker who is not wise. Deep thinking gives you a level of humility and wisdom. It lets you see the world from a perspective that only a few people understands..
When people realize how mysterious the world is, they develop a level of consciousness that makes them think even deeper than the average human being, and this is why I champion being a deep thinker: you begin to see life for what it truly is, and not just what you perceive it to be.
Also, it's important to understand that treating people differently is what being a deep thinker helps you achieve even better, and it's humbling to understand reality in a different perspective. We're here for a short while, and it's important to spend it in truly understanding the reality around instead of just wallowing in ignorance.
Sticking the facts
I didn't intent to make this post sound psychological, it's just shocking to me how one's world can suddenly stop, only because a simple component that contributes meaningfully to their life and productivity is suddenly no longer there.
It just reminds us that the most meaningless aspect of our reality can just no ahead to become the most useful aspect of life and we don't even know it yet. I think our productivity in life depends on a lot of things we really don't place a lot of value on, and I think it's important we change this mindset.
I once heard that a machine that helps the lungs do their job is basically unaffordable to a whole lot of people, and it's ironical because living can be very expensive.
