RE: Lost Art?
Then I guess this app wouldn't help - I used it to locate keys with my phone - and reading glasses etc, but my phone always stays with me in my pocket - that's just the rule :)

RE: Lotus Flower in Chogyeosa Temple
A beautiful photo of a delicate bloom, @slowwalker. You were able to detach yourself from the flower and edit the photo to bring out its fragile beauty. The Lotus itself is the very symbol of detachment

RE: A House at the Alley near Chogyeosa Temple in Seoul
A gated house enclosed by a huge wall - I wonder who is being walled in or walled out? I'm always intrigued by houses with nobody in them - this one reminds me of a Joyce Kilmer poem: I never have seen

RE: Lost Art?
I wonder how many artists mislay works in progress and never find them? - at least you did, Alan. Me? I do my best work on restaurant napkins. Deb's given up on buying me nice notebooks...as for my study,

RE: More monday Mirth!
That last news item is a real head-scratcher. I remember a few years back waking up to no electricity - it lasted two days - seems someone removed the nuts from the base of a huge electrical tower and

Church people's contradictions can be the source of humour - for example, the evangelicals in the States who support Trump - not sure what they're so evangelical about when everything he says and does

You are so intuitive, Arthur - yes, you grasp the music and not just the notes :)

She does have her own pet. Believe it or not though, she prefers humans - must be the poodle in her :)

Well, no one can say you're not true to your commitments, Alan. That should give Chris some solace, although I suspect she's the one who makes sure Trixie and Max stay safely behind that strong iron fence.

RE: Enchantment
The Russian poet, Yevtushenko, wrote: as we get older, we get honester...and that's a consolation I suppose. We see the bankruptcy of pretence and are more authentic. I was once told I had the mind of

OMG, Alan - that first meme harps on my fears. I hate flying - it's a totally selfless act I do for the sake of others, but I'm in terror the whole time. However, sometimes Life demands things of us whether

RE: Figure Paintings by Chung Chong-Yuo
Beautiful paintings, @slowwalker. Nothing about this art is political except perhaps the views of the artist himself. But no work of art exists in a vacuum and is always seen in the light of its time -

An excellent observation, Arthur. I also liked the apparent meandering style of narration and often indulge in it as well because it's not all about plot and the pace of the story. Maeve Binchy's novels
