Kuriwao peak threw everything at us from wind at 100km/h on the first day up the mountain to rain, hail stones at freezing temperatures on subsequent days.
As a tech I was able to get my job going in the BTS shelter but my colleagues who are the Rigger can only wait for a break in the strong wind to work up the tower.
We gave it our all and saw the site upgrade through and one of the moments to remember is being up there there early to get started early since we have shorter days is to catch the sunrise. It was a beautiful moment from above ground level as the sun rose.
