However, the chips are quite unique and different, if you know jengkol, surely all you remember is the smell of jengkol. Don't be afraid, these chips don't have a pungent smell from jengkol, because we will first soak the raw jengkol. For those of you who want to make chips For this, just read the recipe below until it's finished and don't forget to leave your comments below this post. good luck Hivers!
well, the ingredients you have to prepare to make jengkol chips are certainly not expensive and you can get all these ingredients at the nearest market or supermarket. The first ingredients you have to prepare are old raw jengkol, salt and clean water. after you have prepared all the ingredients, now let's start making jengkol chips.
the first step, what you have to do first is soak the old raw jengkol into clean water for approximately 2 days so that the jengkol smell is not too strong.
the second step, after you have soaked the old jengkol for 2 days, now all you have to do is peel the jengkol one by one and clean it. you have to choose jengkol that is really old, because when crushed jengkol will be destroyed if not old jengkol.
the third step, after you have cleaned the jengkol and peeled the jengkol, now prepare a frying pan and put enough cooking oil. Then, first heat the cooking oil for a few minutes, then put the jengkol one by one into the pan and fry until the jengkol is really soft using medium fire.
the fourth step, after you have fried all the jengkol until it is really soft, now prepare a basin and put clean water, then put all the fried jengkol into the clean water. next, add half a tablespoon of salt into the water and you can also add a little flavoring. Next, let the jengkol in the water for about 10 minutes to absorb.
the fifth step, after you have soaked the jengkol for 5 minutes so that the water seeps into the jengkol, now prepare the plastic and put the plastic on top of the jengkol. Then, pound the jengkol using a stone or wooden pestle until it is flat.
and the result, you can see the photo above, jengkol is really very flat and if you use jengkol that is not old, then the result jengkol will be crushed and will not be flat. repeat this step until all jengkol has been crushed and flat.
the sixth step, after you have finished pounding the jengkol until it is flat, now all you have to do is dry the jengkol under the hot sun for jengkol really. For the estimated time it depends on the weather in your city.
seventh step, after a few hours the jengkol has been in the sun and is dry, now prepare a frying pan and put enough cooking oil into the pan. Then, heat the cooking oil until it is really hot on medium heat.
the last step, after the cooking oil is hot, now put the jengkol chips one by one into the frying pan and fry for 3 or 5 seconds, because if you fry too long, the jengkol chips will be burnt and not good to eat.
and finally, jengkol chips can be enjoyed for your family and friends. As I said before, jengkol is not available in some countries and unfortunately you can't make these chips. but, for those of you who are available, then you can make these chips very easily. the taste is very crispy and also there is no smell of jengkol that stings when in the mouth. What do you think ? quite interesting isn't it? give your feedback below this post. thank you for those of you who have read and stopped by my post today about the recipe for how to make jengkol chips. don't forget to give your support for me and Ema to be more enthusiastic about sharing the next interesting recipe. see you in another unique and delicious recipe with me, Jodi Pamungkas and Ema. good luck Hivers!.
