Decidí que comenzaría la navidad en casa desde el primer día de noviembre, realmente todo a sido muy precipitado, los días han pasado muy rápido y el tiempo cada vez dura menos, asi que decidí empezar desde antes para poder disfrutar las decoraciones por un tiempo prolongado, aunque aun no he armado por completo el arbolito, apenas lo abri y ya mañana comienzo a decorarlo, pero si coloque nuevamente las luces en la entrada de nuestro hogar.
I decided to kick off the Christmas season at home on the first day of November. It’s all been very rushed—the days have flown by, and the days are getting shorter and shorter—so I decided to start early so I could enjoy the decorations for a longer time. Although I haven’t completely set up the tree yet—I just unpacked it, and I’ll start decorating it tomorrow—I did put the lights back up at the entrance to our home.
Tambien mi hijo y yo nos pusimos nuestras pijamas nuevas con temática de navidad, estoy intentando que las navidades sean como siempre, bonitas y mágicas… Como saben este año ha sido terrible y realmente queríamos un cambio de aire, quizás no se sentirá igual y para muchos sea una navidad muy triste pero lamentablemente hay que seguir adelante sobre todo por los niños que les da mucha ilusión estas fechas.
My son and I also put on our new Christmas-themed pajamas. I’m trying to make this Christmas just like always—beautiful and magical… As you know, this year has been terrible, and we really wanted a change of pace. Maybe it won’t feel the same, and for many people, it will be a very sad Christmas, but unfortunately, we have to keep going—especially for the children, who get so excited about this time of year.
Siempre pienso que estas navidades tendré un nudo en la garganta sobre todo en la nochevieja y nochebuena, va a ser bastante triste pero como les comenté a pesar de todo debemos seguir adelante, no es facil, pero es nuestro deber como padres darle estos recuerdos tan bonitos a nuestro hijo. Y aunque siendo sincera aun no siento ese espíritu navideño como en otros años, lo intento y lo seguiré intentando pero siento como si cada navidad fuese un poco mas gris que la anterior,
I always think that this Christmas I’ll have a lump in my throat—especially on New Year’s Eve and Christmas Eve. It’s going to be pretty sad, but as I told you, despite everything, we have to keep going. It’s not easy, but it’s our duty as parents to give our son these beautiful memories. And although, to be honest, I still don’t feel that Christmas spirit like I have in other years—I’m trying, and I’ll keep trying—but I feel as if every Christmas is a little grayer than the one before it.
