Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a battle where I did won because I focused most of my damage.

Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

The rulesets this time are Lost Legendaries. This means that no legendary cards can be used. There is also 61 mana available, and I can use water or life splinter.

The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while dealing damage and outlasting my opponent. My archon is Barthalamas for the +1 speed. My tank is Commander Slade with dodge, and my backup tank is Thanalorian Scion. The rest of my monsters are all magic damage monsters with Moxian Rebel giving my support monsters magic damage.

Round 1

At first glance, I think that this match can go either way, but I have slightly more damage.

Round 5

A few rounds later, my opponent is left with 1 monsters, but I still have 2. With my health left, this is my win since magic can't miss

I won later that round.

Conclusion

I won the match because my strategy worked out. I won because I had most of my monsters focus down the frontmost monster. My opponent had a snipe and sneak monster so two of his monsters spread out their damage. This worked in my favor and I was able to win.

You can see my entire match here.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.
