Five changes have gone live since the last post. Two new Talisman rules, three rules leaving the mint, an Auto-battle that keeps going through quiet spells and restarts, a warning for slow Decks, and a small window onto this blog from the site itself.
Two new Talisman rules
Every Talisman carries a Rules Mod that governs its owner's Friendly Lane. Two new ones can now be minted:
- Dragon Breath. A unit hit directly by a magic or ranged attack starts Burning. At the start of each round Burning may spread to adjacent units, then every Burning unit loses 2 health. Burning can be cleansed.
- Adrenaline. A unit with Weary gains Double Strike on its next turn after it becomes exhausted. A tired Monster that sits out a turn comes back swinging twice.
Three rules are now Discontinued
Back to Basics, Silenced Archons and Equalizer are no longer minted. Every Talisman already minted with one of them keeps working exactly as before; there will simply never be more of them. They wear a Discontinued badge wherever they are shown, and the Gallery marks their empty frames as ones that can only be filled from the Market.
Auto-battle keeps going
Auto-battle used to stop in two situations. Both are gone.
- A quiet arena. If nobody turns up within five minutes, the search now starts again by itself after a 10-second countdown. It keeps going for as long as the tab stays open and you have tickets.
- A restart for an update. If you are searching when Splinterlanes restarts, your place in the queue is kept and the search picks up by itself when play reopens. An Auto-battle that tries to rejoin during the restart waits and rejoins the moment the doors open.
Also new
- Slow Decks get a warning. The Deck Builder now speaks up when a Deck is slow: when many of your Monsters cost 7 Mana or more, or very few cost 3 or less. It tells you how often your Hand will lock in the early rounds and what to add. The Mana rules behind it are in how to play Splinterlanes.
- This blog on the site. The landing page and the Battle lobby now list the three newest posts from this blog, with their comment counts. If you clicked through from there, welcome. This is where the changelog lives, and the comments are open.
Questions, bug reports and Talisman finds are welcome in the comments. Sign in with Hive Keychain at splinterlanes.com to play.
