Hello everyone! Another #TBT Thursday, but this time I want to share a mix of memories. To start, I'm sharing this video of a concert that took place almost three years ago in our beloved concert hall, the Sim贸n Bol铆var Hall, the imposing space where our orchestra and we singers often create musical magic in the city of Caracas. We began this concert with the Argentine Maestro Ricardo Portillo, who conducted in this hall for the first time, with this song, "Exsultate Jubilate" by Karl Jenkins. He expressed his admiration and said he felt it was a dream come true to make music with us here. This moment comes to mind along with this photograph I took a week ago.
Just a week ago, we had another photoshoot in the studio. We've been getting a lot of photos taken lately 馃槄, but the difference this time was with one of our orchestras. A new album is in the works, which will be very interesting because it's a mix of salsa and symphonic music, a tribute album to H茅ctor Lavoe. The percussion instruments typically used in that genre were also there, and we even had to do a musical performance without an audience so that the joy and energy would come through in the photos. I can't show you much from that day because it's still a very private, company-specific project, but at least I have some selfies with my fellow tenors to remember the moment.
I can't say I dreamed of singing in this hall, because the first time I came here was for a concert. I wasn't living in Caracas yet; I came from the countryside specifically for a performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony when the national choir didn't yet have enough members to perform the concert on its own. What I do remember is my impression upon seeing this hall, its architecture, the acoustics, and the organ鈥攚ow, the organ changed my life from the very first moment. Today, I feel like this is my home, and I love that, in addition to concerts, we experience special moments in this place. It's definitely a place that creates great adventures that eventually become treasured memories 鉂わ笍 I hope you enjoy this video, my dear Hive friends. For now, I'll say goodbye, hoping we can greet each other in the next post. Happy Thursday!...
The boys already know they'll be on Hive, so they're smiling 馃槄
