Beer Review

Doubleganger is a 7.9% Imperial/Double IPA brewed by the Tree House Brewing Company in Monson, Massachusetts. I have tried many different beers from Tree House and they are always top notch. Tree House is a small batch craft brewer specializing in fine New England style IPAs. They do produce stouts, porters and a variety of other styles of beers, but the juice bombs like their Julius, Green, and Haze are what made Tree House become the legend that it is today. Unfortunately you can't find Tree House beers at your local liquor store, you need to travel to the brewery itself and wait in a long line in order to score any of this liquid gold. But it sure is worth it! Spring is crafted with the spirit of the season. It's a refreshing, fruity IPA that will leave you feeling renewed like the springtime.

The Can

Spring is served in a full pint can with gorgeous flowers on the front label. The side says the following:

"Spring is an Imperial IPA brewed with the spirit and character of the season in mind. Utilizing a very palemalt bill and a huge dose of American hops including Warrior, Amarillo, Mosaic, & Citra, Spring pours a glowing yellow in the glass and emits aromas of tangerines, pomelos, and canteloupe. The flavor follows suit, rounding out an immensely juicy and vibrant beer - the perfect beverage to enjoy during our yearly rebirth here in New England."

Overall, it's always nice to have a can of Treehouse on hand.

The Beer

Spring had a nice, yellowish color when I poured it into a glass. It was hazy and bright. It could be mistaken for a pineapple juice mixed with OJ... but no, it's hop juice instead. Spring had a refreshing, juicy flavor of pineapple and citrus. Overall it's a great beer, just like every single one I have ever tried from Treehouse. I look forward to trying more beers from Tree House Brewing Company in the future.
