Burgers
We went to Mornington Victoria for lunch today, and it was decided to have burgers after a very quick walk down main street. Yomg had good reviews so this was the place that was picked. After looking at the menu I ordered the Reaper burger, the menu reads as follows:
- The REAPER – Double beef, double cheese, double maple glazed bacon, onion jalapeno jam, reaper mayo, black bun and a carolina reaper chilli injecta.
Keeping in mind that the Carolina Reaper chilli has 1.6 million scoville heat units and is considered to be one the WORLDS HOTTEST CHILLIES. This should be interesting.
This is what it looked like when it came, out after I had injected ALL of the reaper chilli into it, yes ALL of it. I normally handle chilli quite well, and I was looking forward to it. I hadn't had the chance to have one of these Carolin Reaper chillies in a meal before.
So how was it? It did pack some heat, a fair amount of heat. For a moment I thought I was out of practice with eating spices, then I remembered it was one of the hottest chillies around. Keeping this in mind, I thought it might have packed more of a punch.
Basically, I found it tasty and very enjoyable. If you also enjoy burger and spices, I recommend you have a Reaper burger.
