In the last few months, my husband and I have had four double dates with our oldest daughter and her boyfriend at the theater. We always start with dinner somewhere in walking distance of The Guthrie, our favorite theater in the area.
But before I continue, just want to give a big shout out to 
Okay back to the post! Our most recent outing started with a Minneapolis restaurant called Eato. Super cute. As we were loitering outside, a woman heading into the restaurant offered to take our photo.
We had eaten there before, but we sat out on the patio, and it was a completely different experience. The indoor space is really charming. It reminded me of an indoor European market, though I’m not sure if my pictures capture that.
There were several nice display cases. Perhaps this is what gave me the market impression.
There is also a separate shop contained within the restaurant.
The bar had a very nice look to it. It seemed kind of cozy. If we hadn’t been heading to a show I would have liked to hang out there.
We shared a couple of pizzas, and it appears I forgot to take pictures, but they were very good!
The chefs were hard at work the whole time.
After dinner we walked to the theater past several Minneapolis landmarks, including The Depot and the Mill City museum.
The play we saw was Shane, which is a famous western.
Here is a picture of the stage, but I wasn’t able to get any additional ones because they are not allowed.
This selfie totally cracks me up because my husband looks so stern, but he’s not. He is a warm, lighthearted and funny person!
