A walk by the water

Wow, I miss posting on Hive. I was looking through some of my old posts and discovered some treasures. It was like reading entries in an old journal, only better, because I wrote them for others to read. Yes, I’d like to get back to it!

I ended my Sunday with a lovely twilight walk by the water. The first picture I took was of a small convention of seagulls huddling together on the top of a boat, which cracked me up.

The skies were somewhat dramatic, which was why I was drawn to the lake. I’ve seen the most dramatic sunsets there on a cloudy night.

I kept walking along the path by the lake until I came to an overlook where tired walkers and cyclists can sit on some benches to catch their breath and enjoy the scenery. I always love stopping there.

It’s a very peaceful place!

After I bit I walked back the way I came. I didn’t want to get caught in the dark or in a rainstorm.

I visited the harbor again and took more pictures of the water and boats. The seagulls, ducks and swallows were all enjoying a lively evening.

It’s possibly my favorite time of day, though there are several contenders.

Okay I just have to share one more photo of some silly ducks, swimming through an algae filled pond, which was a view on the opposite side of the trail from the lake.
