I will never tire of this view. It is ever changing, depending upon the time of day, the season and the weather. Dusk is my favorite time, when the boats almost seem to glow.
But it’s a funny time of day. My pictures here are not shared in the order they were taken. If I turned toward the sun, it seemed later in the day. If I turned away, the sun’s glow on the boats made it seem earlier. Photographers will know what I’m talking about.
My walk on this particular occasion took me away from the lake for a stretch on a tree-lined trail.
Then I arrived at a scenic overlook I love to visit where I can see a large expanse of the lake, boats cruising along enjoying the last rays of sun, and a beautiful sky.
But then I had to turn back. It was getting dark and I didn’t want to be out on the path at night. It's probably quite safe, but let’s just say that as a woman I feel more confident on my own in broad daylight.
The moon rose above the trees and shone over the water. I captured its lovely reflection. A scene like this brings me joy and serenity, reminding me that the issues of the day are fleeting, and that there is something larger than ourselves to believe in.
