Very full day of working with Artificial Intelligence today. Once again worked with one of our principal software engineers today.
We made a pretty good progress, but the complexity of the upgrade is definitely giving Artificial Intelligence Agents serious problems. I had to constantly course correct the Agent as it was obviously implementing wrong solutions.
Also, the biggest finding of the upgrade today I have made on my own without any AI assistance. In fact I had Google Gemini LLM, Anthropic Opus LLM and Open AI GPT 5.6 LLM look at it and none of them were able to figure it out or even give me a hint of what is going on.
The issue was that Sitecore rolled in the Sitecore.Nexus package and the DLL from it into Sitecore.Kernel. I was able to figure it out by reviewing the official Sitecore nugget feed and reviewing Sitecore zip files for on premise implementation of Sitecore 10.5.
I guess despite Artificial Intelligence Agents having a much broader knowledge of the various programming languages and speed that is not comparable to humans sometimes humans are still better at thinking and solving the really complex problems.
Not sure how long this will last, but even now IT professionals using Artificial intelligence are much more efficient than those who are not.
