We all hit a wall at some point. I haven’t hit a wall because I’m working out too much. It’s nothing like that. I will admit that I’m actually not that fond of going to the gym. Am I alone?
I love to be fit and healthy, but I just prefer to walk, bike, hike, and make sure I get plenty of steps each day. The trouble is, I live in a climate that is very cold for a stretch of the year (now though April), and we are now at that time of year when the days are short and it’s dark when I leave the office.
So I have gotten out on the trails, and I have not hit my step goals all week. That’s the wall I’m talking about. I have to face the fact that I’m going to have to go to the gym.
So I’m looking for fresh motivation.
Have you ever noticed that it is motivating to look at pictures of people who are strong and fit?
So that is one strategy.
Don’t you love that wonderful feeling you get when your muscles are toned and you’re not packing a lot of excess baggage around? That does not happen by itself. It requires an exercise regimen and commitment.
How about you? What keeps you motivated? How do you burn calories? How do you get your cardio? And how do you stay motivated and on task when your life gets busy?
I look forward to hearing ideas!
